is where
President

that his

the White
House.
“On a Sunday in midsummer, George W. Bush
accompanied Karl Rove to the Episcopalian
Church Rove sometimes attended,” writes
Alexander. “They made their way to the front
of the congregation. Then, during their time
in the church, Bush gave Rove some stunning
news. ‘Karl,’ Bush said, ‘there’s too much
heat on you. It’s time for you to go.’”
Maybe Bush knew what he was doing in
breaking such bad news in such serene
atmosphere: As Alexander documents, Rove has
quite the temper.
"He's got a temper and a loud voice and he
used it," said Bill Miller,
a consultant who worked for and against Rove
in Texas. "He's known for getting hot. There
are buttons people know about. Losing and
getting screwed with will [upset] him in a
hurry."
The Liar In

contact with President Bush, that high-level
White House officials held Mr. Abramoff and
his associates in high regard and solicited
recommendations from them on policy matters,

influenced some White House actions. Which
is ever so different than what the most

Senate
Report: Bush Used Iraq Intel He Knew Was
False
More than five years
after the initial invasion of Iraq, the
Senate Intelligence Committee has finally
gone on the record: the Bush administration
misused, and in some cases disregarded,
intelligence which led the nation into war.
The two final sections of a long-delayed and
much anticipated "Phase II" report on the
Bush administration's use of prewar
intelligence, released on Thursday morning,
accuse senior White House officials of
repeatedly misrepresenting the threat posed
by Iraq.
In addition, the report on Iraq war
intelligence harshly criticizes a Pentagon
office for executing "inappropriate,
sensitive intelligence activities" without
the proper knowledge of the State Department
and other agencies.
In addition to judgments that could prove
troublesome for the White House and make
waves in the presidential race, the report
also contains some stinging minority reports
from Republican committee members who allege
that Democrats turned the intelligence
review process into a "partisan exercise."
However, when the GOP controlled the
intelligence committee and steered its
"Phase I" reporting on the use of Iraq war
intelligence, critics complained that tough
questions about the Bush administration's
actions had been kicked down the road, and
thus required a second round of fact finding
-- dubbed "Phase II." The committee's delay
in producing that full report to the public
was seen by Democrats as evidence of a
stonewalling campaign executed by President
Bush's Republican Senate allies.
Former Committee Chairman Sen. Pat Roberts
(R-KS) often vacillated over whether or not
the report was worth completing, first
promising in 2004 that the work would be
finished, and then calling it a "monumental
waste of time" later in 2005. When Democrats
gained control of the Senate after the 2006
midterm elections, they gained a majority of
seats on the committee and set the course
for the production of the final reports.
Whether by partisan design or simple chance,
however, the committee managed to save some
of the best questions for last.
The "Phase II" report states -- in terms
clearer than any previous government
publication -- that there was no operational
relationship between Al Qaeda and Saddam
Hussein, that Bush officials were not
truthful about the difficulties the United
States would face in post-war Iraq and that
their public statements did not reflect
intelligence they had at the time, and,
specifically, that the intelligence
community would not confirm any meeting
between Iraqi officials and Mohamed Atta --
a claim that was nevertheless publicly
repeated.
"Before taking the country to war, this
Administration owed it to the American
people to give them a 100 percent accurate
picture of the threat we faced.
Unfortunately, our Committee has concluded
that the Administration made significant
claims that were not supported by the
intelligence," Rockefeller said in a
statement provided to The Huffington Post.

BEWARE!
Finally Some Truth Telling
from Scott McLellan -
Bush
Loyalist Says the
administration relied on
"propaganda" to sell the
war.
Former
White House Press Secretary
Scott McClellan writes in a
surprisingly scathing memoir
to be published next week
that President Bush “veered
terribly off course,” was
not “open and forthright on
Iraq,” and took a “permanent
campaign approach” to
governing at the expense of
candor and competence.
Among the most explosive
revelations in the 341-page
book, titled “What Happened:
Inside the Bush White House
and Washington’s Culture of
Deception” (Public Affairs,
$27.95):
• McClellan charges that
Bush relied on “propaganda”
to sell the war.
• He says the White House
press corps was too easy on
the administration during
the run-up to the war.
• He admits that some of his
own assertions from the
briefing room podium turned
out to be “badly
misguided.”
• The longtime Bush loyalist
also suggests that two top
aides held a secret West
Wing meeting to get their
story straight about the CIA
leak case at a time when
federal prosecutors were
after them — and McClellan
was continuing to defend
them despite mounting
evidence they had not given
him all the facts.
• McClellan asserts that the
aides — Karl Rove, the
president’s senior adviser,
and I. Lewis “Scooter”
Libby, the vice president’s
chief of staff — “had at
best misled” him about their
role in the disclosure of
former CIA operative Valerie
Plame’s identity.
A few reporters were offered
advance copies of the book,
with the restriction that
their stories not appear
until Sunday, the day before
the official publication
date. Politico declined and
purchased “What Happened” at
a Washington bookstore.
The eagerly awaited book,
while recounting many fond
memories of Bush and
describing him as
“authentic” and “sincere,”
is harsher than reporters
and White House officials
had expected.
A
Tuesday fundraiser
headlined by President
Bush for U.S. Sen. John
McCain’s presidential
campaign is being moved
out of the Phoenix
Convention Center.
Sources familiar with
the situation said the
Bush-McCain event was
not selling enough
tickets to fill the
Convention Center space,
and that there
were concerns about more
anti-war protesters
showing up outside the
venue than attending the
fundraiser inside.
Another source said
there were concerns
about the media covering
the event.
Bush’s Arizona
fundraising effort for
McCain is being moved to
private residences in
the Phoenix area. A
White House official
said the event was being
moved because the McCain
campaign prefers private
fundraisers and it is
Bush administration
policy to have events in
public venues open to
the media. The White
House official said to
reconcile that the
Tuesday event will be
held at a private venue
and not the Convention
Center.
Convention Center
personnel confirmed the
event has been canceled
at their venue.
Tickets to the event
were to range from
$1,000 to $25,000 for
VIP treatment. Money was
to go toward McCain’s
presidential bid and
other REPUKE entities,
or campaigns.

Finally, Turd Blossom Get His Subopnea
Conyers Subpoenas Karl Rove
Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI) issued a subpoena to former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove for testimony about the politicization of the Department of Justice (DOJ), including former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman’s case. Yesterday, Rove’s attorney, Robert Luskin, sent a letter to the Committee expressing that Rove would not agree to testify voluntarily, per the Committee’s previous requests.
“It is unfortunate that Mr. Rove has failed to cooperate with our requests,” Conyers said. “Although he does not seem the least bit hesitant to discuss these very issues weekly on cable television and in the print news media, Mr. Rove and his attorney have apparently concluded that a public hearing room would not be appropriate. Unfortunately, I have no choice today but to compel his testimony on these very important matters.”
Separately, Chairman Conyers recently received a letter from DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) indicating that the office has opened an investigation into allegations of selective prosecution of Siegelman and others.
Presidential Chimp's Great Sacrifice for our troops is giving up GOLF?
As violence in Iraq continues -- clashes today left 11 dead and 19 injured -- President "Vacation" Bush has for the first time revealed the great sacrifice he's made for the sake of our soldiers: he's given up golf. Oh sure, he could have given up cycling, but he likes that.
"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf," he said. "I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."
Bush said he made that decision after the August 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed Sergio Vieira de Mello, the top U.N. official in Iraq and the organization's high commissioner for human rights.
"I remember when de Mello, who was at the U.N., got killed in Baghdad as a result of these murderers taking this good man's life," he said. "I was playing golf -- I think I was in central Texas -- and they pulled me off the golf course and I said, 'It's just not worth it anymore to do.'" No sir, you are not worth it you scumbag, friggin idiot. How the hell you were elected I'll never understand. Oh yes, on top of everything, the SOB lied about giving up golf. He was video taped playing golf roughly 3 months after this. President Bush said with a straight face this week that he gave up golf in honor of the fallen ....Bush can not even tell the truth about giving up golf. George W Bush Is the
Most unpopular
president since
polling was invented
Mr. 28% is now
the most unpopular
president in Gallup
history.
President Bush has
set a record he'd
presumably prefer to
avoid: the highest
disapproval rating
of any president in
the 70-year history
of the Gallup Poll.
In a USA
TODAY/Gallup Poll
taken Friday through
Sunday, 28% of
Americans approve of
the job Bush is
doing; 69%
disapprove. The
approval rating
matches the low
point of his
presidency, and the
disapproval sets a
new high for any
president since
Franklin Roosevelt.
The previous record
of 67% was reached
by Harry Truman in
January 1952, when
the United States
was enmeshed in the
Korean War.
You know what makes
this number
particularly
amazing? Bush,
post-9-11, notched
the highest approval
ratings in Gallup
history. So he
literally went from
the most popular
president, to the
most hated. The
whole country is
celebrating their
Bush Derangement

And McCain is eager
to follow in his
footsteps.
After this total

I have been told by

database kept on
Known Shippers.
If true, that the
airlines have to
create and maintain
there own database
of thousand of
shippers and there
is no centralized
database, then the
American people have
been lied to and the
creation of DHS has
made us no safer and
in fact added yet
another layer of
bureaucracy.
How do I know this?
I am a known shipper
at one airline and
was trying to become
a known shipper with
another. I stumbled
onto this fact in
the application
process with the
second airline.
I was also told
there is no single
list kept not just
the two airlines,
but Senator
Domenici's office
and Congresswoman
Heather Wilson's
office... as well as
Senator Bingaman's
LA on
transportation. The
2 Airlines in
question are Delta
and Continental.
Naturally, this fact
could blow a huge
hole in Saint
McCain's "Commander
in Chief"
credentials... as he
plans to continue
the policies that
created this BS to
begin with. Oddly,
or sadly, we have
the technology and
expertise to spy on

can't compile a

This fraud vetoed

01/28/08 - Finally, I can actually see some light at the end of
the tunnel. Tonight was George W Bush's final SOTU.FYI, this is a year where both
Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address occur in the same week. And
as it has been pointed out,'It is an ironic juxtaposition of
events: one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of
little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a
groundhog.'
Here's one
serious observation about Bush's SOTU speech, what the hell is up with all
those losers who were seeking autographs from a President with a less than
30% approval rating? The "friggin" speech was a laundry list of
previous speeches, he answered few questions and tried to spin his
failures... that's all I heard. I had no idea the writers strike
extended all the way to the WH. My God, these autograph seekers have
to be the same idiots who stop and stare at car wrecks and train wrecks...
because the last 7 years are nothing more than one huge train wreck!

Study: Bush led U.S. to war
on 'false pretenses' 935 of them to be exact.
Hundreds of false statements on WMDs, al-Qaida
used to justify Iraq war
A study by two nonprofit journalism
organizations found that President Bush and top
administration officials issued hundreds of
false statements about the national security
threat from Iraq in the two years following the
2001 terrorist attacks.
The study concluded that the statements "were
part of an orchestrated campaign that
effectively galvanized public opinion and, in
the process, led the nation to war under
decidedly false pretenses."
The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of
the Center for Public Integrity, which worked
with the Fund for Independence in Journalism.
White House spokesman Scott Stanzel did not
comment on the merits of the study Tuesday night
but reiterated the administration's position
that the world community viewed Iraq's leader,
Saddam Hussein, as a threat.
"The actions taken in 2003 were based on the
collective judgment of intelligence agencies
around the world," Stanzel said.
WMD, al-Qaida links debunked
The study counted 935 false statements in the
two-year period. It found that in speeches,
briefings, interviews and other venues, Bush and
administration officials stated unequivocally on
at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of
mass destruction or was trying to produce or
obtain them or had links to al-Qaida or both.
"It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not
possess any weapons of mass destruction or have
meaningful ties to al-Qaida," according to
Charles Lewis and Mark Reading-Smith of the Fund
for Independence in Journalism staff members,
writing an overview of the study. "In short, the
Bush administration led the nation to war on the
basis of erroneous information that it
methodically propagated and that culminated in
military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003."
Named in the study along with Bush were top
officials of the administration during the
period studied: Vice President Dick Cheney,
national security adviser Condoleezza Rice,
Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, Secretary
of State Colin Powell, Deputy Defense Secretary
Paul Wolfowitz and White House press secretaries
Ari Fleischer and Scott McClellan.
Bush led with 259 false statements, 231 about
weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 28 about
Iraq's links to al-Qaida, the study found. That
was second only to Powell's 244 false statements
about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 10
about Iraq and al-Qaida.
Media 'validation'
The center said the study was based on a
database created with public statements over the
two years beginning on Sept. 11, 2001, and
information from more than 25 government
reports, books, articles, speeches and
interviews.
"The cumulative effect of these false statements
— amplified by thousands of news stories and
broadcasts — was massive, with the media
coverage creating an almost impenetrable din for
several critical months in the run-up to war,"
the study concluded.
"Some journalists — indeed, even some entire
news organizations — have since acknowledged
that their coverage during those prewar months
was far too deferential and uncritical. These
mea culpas notwithstanding, much of the
wall-to-wall media coverage provided additional,
'independent' validation of the Bush
administration's false statements about Iraq,"
it said.
Deservedly, Bush is the most
unpopular president -- EVER!
CBS/NYT Poll: 75% of
Americans Says Country Is On Wrong Track, A Record High
Three in four Americans think the country is off on the
wrong track, matching the highest number recorded in the
twenty-five years since CBS News began asking the question.
Only 19% say it is headed in the right direction, matching
the all-time low reached last June. Concern about the
direction of the country is accompanied by growing alarm
about the condition of the economy.
American Research Group: A total of 64% of
American voters say that President George W. Bush has abused
his powers as president. 53% say the abuses rise to the
level of impeachable offenses and Mr. Bush should be
impeached and removed from office.
By 64%-31%, Americans disapprove of the job
he is doing. For the first time in the history of the Gallup
Poll, 50% say they "strongly disapprove" of the president.
Richard Nixon had reached the previous high, 48%, just
before an impeachment inquiry was launched in 1974.

“The Iraq war is now costing $330 million a day. That could
pay for 1700 more border patrol agents, or provide

funds from just one day in Iraq would give 270,000 more kids

is unable to account for most of $1.2 billion in funding
that it gave to DynCorp International to train Iraqi police,
a government report said Tuesday. "The bottom line is
that State can't account for where it went," said Glenn D.

report for the special inspector general for Iraq
reconstruction (SIGIR).
The Department of State's Bureau for International Narcotics
and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) "did not have the
information needed to identify what DynCorp provided under
the contract or how funds were spent," the report said.
As a result, the audit agency announced it has suspended its

A pathetic excuse for President
Yes, Jimmy Carter was right, but being the Democrat that he is was afraid to
admit it! "It's not so much that he is an embarrassment, it's that
there is an exhaustion," says Rich Galen, a GOP analyst who has
worked for both of the Bushes and Gingrich. "People are tired of defending
him."
In his quest to be the best, Bush has now hit 25% approval.
He looks more and more like Nixon with each poll.
According to a new American
Research Group poll, just 25% of Americans
approve of the way President Bush is handling
his job as president and 71% disapprove. These
are record lows for the survey.
When it comes to Bush's handling
of the economy, 23% approve and 73% disapprove.
The Washington Post's Eric Foner writes:
Ever since 1948, when Harvard professor Arthur Schlesinger Sr. asked 55

such polls have been a favorite pastime for those of us who study the
